Is the power of makeup magical, when it offers us the ability to enhance, correct, alter, and even hide one’s appearance? Applying makeup goes back thousands of years, to the ancient Egyptians and beyond. So, it may not be unreasonable to think that by now one may skillfully master the art and savvy techniques of applying makeup without much difficulty. However, this belief is undeniably fictitious, as it has too often been demonstrated on social media by various makeup blunders. Unfortunately, not everyone is born with the artistic mojo that it takes to perfectly wing your eyeliner or even properly contour your nose. Therefore, listed below are the world's greatest makeup mishaps that every rookie makes every time along with some good advice.
1. DUMP THE CLUMP
Let’s face it, life happens and vision fades as life goes on. It's not unnatural for a sudden crisis to arise where your mascara may have all of the answers you may need, but quality over quantity is more important. We get it, makeup is expensive, and nowadays it is a necessity, but clumpy mascara isn't the solution. The last thing any panicking human being needs is to have spider legs for eyelashes. Did you know that leaving on mascara overnight can result in an eye infection? Gross. So to help you out, here are some things you can do to avoid the clumsiness at all costs.
2. Wings Aren't For Everybody
Wings make life easier! Except when it comes to eyeliner, because if it is badly applied then wings would be only for gifted individuals like those who have come from mars! 4. Your Foundation Should Match YOUR Skin.
If this isn't the biggest mistake people make, then I'm really not sure what is. People will often borrow a friend’s foundation, or even choose their formula blindly without truly trying out the product first. People, don't make that mistake and save yourself the embarrassment! Also, remember that the lighting in your home is not the same as outside or other areas, so acknowledge that your outside appearance may not look the same as when you left your home. 5. Don't Sleep Until You're Clean!
